The Dodoma City Council has six types of roads including; collector roads (157.2km), feeder roads (168.8km), urban roads (164.0km), these include the roads not in the ACT which collector roads (44.0km), urban roads (25.0km). The total road network under jurisdiction of Dodoma City Council cover a total length of 548.20km. The roads are paved, graveled or earthed. The conditions of these roads are good, fair or poor.
In addition to the Municipality road network there are 148km of paved road and 62km of earth roads owned and maintained by TANROADS.
